Sometimes it is mandatory to make a page on your website that you will need to pass the parameters to this page using the query string. This happens when you do not have the luxury of submitting a post form to the URL of the page. The problem with this is that Google Analytics will identify each request to the page with different parameter value as a different page because Analytics identifies pages by their URLs. Luckily Analytics have a way to overcome this.
Login to your google analytics account and then o to the desired website profile. Click on “Admin” then click on the desired profile in the profiles tab click the “Profile Settings” tab and scroll down to the “Exclude URL Query Parameters” text field.
In this field enter a comma separated list of query parameters you would like Analytics to avoid when identifying the pages.
